Using Computer Science FoundationsUpdated 10 months ago
How do my students get access to CS Foundations?
Once a student has a Sphero EDU account and are in one of your classes, they'll have access to CS Foundations content. They'll be able to access their lessons from the Premium Lessons tab, or the workbook if you've assigned a lesson.
Which robots can I use CS Foundations with?
Though CS Foundations was created specifically with BOLT in mind, you can use the courses with BOLT+, BOLT, SPRK+, Sphero Mini, or any of our other spherical robots.
How do I assign lessons to my students?
In the Sphero Edu app
Log in to your teacher account, then select the Lessons tab on the left side of the screen, then the CS Foundations tab on the tray that displays on the right of that. Click on the activity you wish to assign. Click Assign, then select the desired class in the window that appears and click Assign again. Once that's done, the content will then appear in the workbooks of that class' students.
On Sphero Central [Edu.Sphero.com]
Log in to your teacher/parent account, then navigate to the BOLT+/RVR+/Mini tab and click the Lessons tab under that. Next, click Premium Lessons to see your CS Foundations content. On the chosen assignment, click the Assign button on top of the lesson. In the window that appears, check the box next to one or multiple classes.
You can also select individual students from your classes and click Assign Activities if you wish to only assign select students. To get to individual students, select the My Classes tab, then the Students tab under that.
How do I check student’s progress?
Click on the classes button within the blue tool bar. Once there you can check progress two ways. The first is by selecting an individual student to see their specific progress. The second is to choose a lesson, where you can see all students' progress in the given course.
