RVR and RVR+ Long Term StorageUpdated 2 years ago

If you find that you are not going to be using your RVR or RVR+ for 3-4 weeks or longer, you will want to take the following steps to prolong the life of your treads and batteries.

Batteries

When preparing for long term storage, please deplete your RVR+ battery to 50% to 70% or so that it illuminates two LEDs when you press the indicator button. Remove the battery from your robot, and store in a temperature-controlled environment. Please try to avoid exposing the battery to extreme hot or cold ambient temperatures.

Treads

When stored for long periods of time, RVR and RVR+ treads may be susceptible to deformation. Please avoid storing the robots in an orientation that will add pressure to the treads. We recommend removing the treads from the robot and storing them in a closed container.
