Airplane Travel with SpheroUpdated 6 months ago
It's best to review the United States Federal Aviation Association's (FAA) guidelines for products that contain lithium ion batteries when planning to fly with your Sphero. These FAA guidelines state, "devices containing lithium metal batteries or lithium ion batteries, including – but not limited to – smartphones, tablets, cameras and laptops, should be kept in carry-on baggage. If these devices are packed in checked baggage, they should be turned completely off, protected from accidental activation and packed so they are protected from damage."
The Sphero team has frequently flown with all Sphero and littleBits products without issue, including taking the Sphero SPRK+ Power Pack, Sphero BOLT Power Pack, and Sphero BOLT+ Power Pack as a carry-on item.
