Getting Started
We encourage you to read pages 20-28 of the Blueprint Educator Guide to learn more about each of the included pieces. You can learn more about each piece in the Blueprint-o-pedia.
Lesson content can be found on Sphero Central.
Best Practices
- Try building your Blueprint Bit circuit on a flat surface first before installing it on Blueprint Build structures
- When using the Motor Bit, we recommend using an Input like a Potentiometer Bit prior to the motor
- Use wires so that your Bits don't need to be right next to each other in your build
- Before turning on your circuit that includes a Motor Bit, tie back long hair and loose clothing
- Do not leave the Power Bit charging for extended periods of time
TroubleshootingHere are some steps to take if your Blueprint circuit isn't working as intended:
- Are the bits plugged in all the way?
- Ensure your Power Bit isn't in shipping mode - the Power Bit must be plugged in at least once after it's been received to remove it from Shipping Mode. Learn more about Shipping Mode here
- Try using the Data Display Bit after your circuit to learn more about why your circuit may not be working as expected?
- What happens if you simplify the circuit by removing the Threshold Bit and/or the Potentiometer Bit?
Storage and Cleaning
- Store all pieces inside the storage bin to not collect dust/debris - don't leave builds out for extended periods of time
- Use a non-alcohol wipe to clean bits and charging pads
- Check out pages 28 and 29 of the Blueprint Educator Guide for additional care and maintenance tips
